| Masterclasses with Professor Yanovitsky | When students elect to participate in the master class with Professor Yanovitsky, they are expected to be adequately prepared, so that the interaction with the teacher is mutually fulfilling and most conducive for learning. Parents in the audience will listen to their child and witness the progress during the master class. It is the teacher’s responsibility to say the right words to ensure that the student not only understands, but also incorporates the recommendations. This will be the main focus during the master class.
Because the music in general, (the piano music in particular) is not only part of the human history, but also part of the nature and physical world, Professor Yanovitsky’s attention to extra musical issues will capitalize on pertinent historic events, so that the student may understand the historical context in which a particular piece of music was written. Additionally, Professor Yanovitsky will offer suggestions, focusing on technical issues, interpretation, and development of students’ artistic qualities. |
